Quite expensive - but great service and food! The duck could have been crispier for my taste, but it was super juicy. The portion was big enough that there was no more room for dessert.

Very tasty, great service. The people here are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The price is not cheap, but absolutely reasonable. The vegetarian selection is not huge (not in all of Sassnitz), but what there is is absolutely great. Guaranteed not to be here for the last time!

The service was very courteous. A place was created for us, although there was actually no one left. The food was tasty, if not overwhelming. Overall we were very satisfied.

If our vacation didn't end tomorrow, we would be guests at the König Gustav a third time. Everything fits, delicious food, great mix of regional German food and Spanish tapas, plus a really nice, courteous service, cozy atmosphere. Definitely one of our holiday highlights.

We were there with our dog. He was given a bowl of water immediately and without being asked. The food was very good and the service friendly. We will be back in the next vacation.

Very nice restaurant. Small, cozy and furnished with lots of charm. The staff is nice and tries to fulfill every request. The food comes highly recommended. Perfect size and delicious. Price / performance fits. Also very, very recommendable in Corona time.

The taste was really great, but the service was a little slow when it came to clearing the table. However, the service was very personable! The restaurant is tastefully decorated and there is an 'emergency kit' for women in the toilet consisting of deodorant, hairspray, pads and tampons. In addition, everyone uses their own small towel to dry off. Very sustainable!

Big compliments to the service! Very friendly and courteous despite the full restaurant. Hygiene concept implemented very well. Food quality was very good. Portion-sized a little clear but sufficient. Somewhat high price level but totally okay price-performance ratio. Definitely recommended.

Two weeks in Sassnitz, two times "King Gustav", two well-fed. The food is very tasty, freshly prepared and well presented. Service friendly and accommodating. Only the range of wines could be more extensive. It is also positive that the hygiene standards (disinfection, protective masks, etc.) are observed.

Friendly service, very good food

Super delicious food, extremely friendly service who knows the menu and products, all in all excellent. The only downside - a little expensive. Veal liver for 17.90 is okay, but pikeperch with fried potatoes 24.90 and a large Warsteiner for 5.20 is a lot, even compared to Munich, where we originally come from.

Clean, super tasty and very friendly .. Those who value taste and freshness should not be put off by the restaurant facade! The inside is very cozy and stylish. We had an excellent meal !!!

We dropped there by chance but eveything was great. Wiener schnitzel for my child tasted so good that I took a bit :). My wife had fantastic cod and I had very tasty chicken leg with purée and fantastic sauce. Really worth to eat.

The restaurant is great, we had delicious fish-based plates. One of the best restaurants of the German Baltic Sea area. Try the fish and chips (and order it without remoulade)!

Nice place with ok food

Bad experience: the service was extremely rude. First the lady brought out a dish I didn't order and then argued with me about it. The food itself was a failed experiment (too bad, I like it when the menu offers something new). Finally, when we had to change our payment method from cash to card, they refused.

They've an English menu and the food is good, staff is also good.
